What does the job entail?

As system administrator, you are responsible for ensuring continuity, efficiency and performance of the system infrastructure. You create and maintain the system documentation. In addition, you resolve third-line incidents and create a problem record. You place changes and releases provided by the development teams and third parties. You monitor the system load and system performance and solve any problems. To improve the infrastructure, you make functional designs and possibly an action plan. You convert the functional designs into a technical design.

Your challenges as a system administrator are:

  • Responsible for daily management (monitoring and surveillance) of the system infrastructure, both in the in-house data center locations and in Azure;
  • Setting up and maintaining the automated management processes around the workplace;
  • Managing the Office 365 environment;
  • Managing incidents and identifying (potential) future problems;
  • Taking actions to resolve or prevent them;
  • Performing maintenance and improvement projects on behalf of the system infrastructure;
  • Maintain the development, testing and acceptance environment;
  • Responsible for capacity management.

  • A fixed-term employment contract with the prospect of permanent employment and a gross full-time salary between €3,236 and €5,132, depending on experience;
  • A personal choice budget (PKB), made up of various benefits including 8% vacation allowance. You can use the budget for various purposes;
  • A work week of 32 to 40 hours;
  • Flexibility through hybrid working;
  • 25 vacation days (based on full-time employment), 5 of which are included in your personal choice budget (PKB);
  • Two additional days off per year that you may take on a day that is special to you;
  • A pension plan;
  • A travel allowance: Do you travel by car? Then you get €0.21 per km. Do you come walking or by bike? Then you get € 0.25 per km. Do you travel by public transport? Then your public transport costs (based on2nd class travel) will be fully reimbursed;
  • A home office allowance (€2.15 per day) and a home office budget;
  • Staff discount on your insurance, mortgage, buying, selling and appraising your home.

What does the team look like?

You work hybrid with Middelharnis as your location . As a system administrator, you will be part of a dynamic team of eight people. This team is part of the system engineering & security department. There is an informal working atmosphere with motivated and committed colleagues. An inspiring and challenging work environment where you have plenty of room for your own initiatives, personal development and improvement proposals are appreciated. What we ask of you.

You are good at listening, collaborating and convincing. You think from the user's perspective and respond to their needs and problems. You stand firm and handle ad hoc work efficiently. Additionally:

  • At least a completed mbo education in system administration, completed with relevant Microsoft certifications;
  • Relevant work experience in a similar position;
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Docker, LINUX, Office 365, (Veeam) backup software, Database Management, Network Management, Storage and Cloud Concepts;
  • Willing to further develop yourself by obtaining job-related degrees;
  • Willing to work breakdown shifts;
  • Do you have good social skills and can work in a team as well as independently;
  • A good command of the Dutch language both verbally and in writing.

    You possess the following characteristics and competencies:

    • Excellent oral communication skills;
    • Customer- and result-oriented;
    • Service-oriented;
    • Stress resistant and flexible.
