Alpina Group raises €103,009.25 for the Princess Máxima Center
The Alpina Group Open raised a whopping €103,009.25 for the Princess Máxima Center in Utrecht. During the golf tournament on September 3, 18 teams teed off at golf club De Scherpenbergh in Lieren for the good cause.
The annual charity golf tournament took place for the 16th time this year. In Lieren, 120 relations and employees of the Alpina Group gathered for an exciting competition. For participants without a golf license, there was a clinic. And even without participation, money could be donated for the Princess Máxima Center. A total of €103,009.25 was raised for research into and treatment of childhood cancer.
CEO of Alpina Group Sjoerd Laarberg: "September is the month when extra attention is asked worldwide for children with cancer. How wonderful that we can contribute to this with the 'Alpina Group Open 2025'. For 16 years, we have wholeheartedly supported the mission of the Princess Máxima Center: to cure every child with cancer, with an optimal quality of life. I am extremely happy and grateful that we are able to donate again this year; a huge amount in the history of our golf tournament. We owe this to the great commitment and support of employees and all relations of Alpina Group. Thank you on behalf of the Princess Máxima Center."
The Princess Máxima Center treats all children with cancer in the Netherlands. Currently, one in four children with cancer still dies. It is a research hospital with only one mission: to cure every child with cancer, with optimal quality of life. To achieve this, there is still a lot of work to do. And they can't do it alone. That's why we are taking action for the Princess Máxima Center. Together we make a difference in the lives of children with cancer.
