What does the job entail?

As an HR business partner, you are the all-round sparring partner and coach of the management for the departments and employees assigned to you in your region/cluster. You know how to propagate the organizational strategy and translate it into (strategic/tactical) HR policy and solutions for the business so that they can move forward. The organization is evolving, so there is a lot going on. There are various restructurings with the aim of getting the right people in the right place so that our services are improved for our customers. We sometimes want to move quickly, but by asking critical questions and working intensively with the business, we achieve more results and that is where your added value lies.

Your challenges as an HR business partner are:

  • Advising management and directors on changes and personnel issues and guiding/coaching them;
  • Getting started with our HR plans such as leadership trajectories, interview cycle and HR processes;
  • Improve employee engagement with the aim of a long-term collaboration/relationship;
  • Thinking about how we can reduce our absenteeism and what we can use to achieve this;
  • Connecting employees to achieve goals and results.
  • Improving and/or setting up HR policy documents.

  • A fixed-term employment contract with the prospect of permanent employment and a gross full-time salary between €3,236 and €5,132, depending on experience;
  • A personal choice budget (PKB), made up of various benefits including 8% vacation allowance. You can use the budget for various purposes;
  • Access to the Alpina Academy; our learning platform for training, courses and education including access to Lindenhaeghe (for obtaining Wft diplomas) and SkillsTown;
  • A work week of 32 to 40 hours;
  • Flexibility through hybrid working;
  • 25 vacation days (based on full-time employment), 5 of which are included in your personal choice budget (PKB);
  • Two additional days off per year that you may take on a day that is special to you;
  • A pension plan;
  • A phone;
  • A travel allowance: Do you travel by car? Then you get €0.23 per km. Do you come walking or by bike? Then you get € 0,25 per km. Do you travel by public transport? Then your public transport costs (based on 2nd class travel) will be fully reimbursed;
  • A home office allowance (€2.15 per day) and a home office budget;
  • Staff discount on your insurance, mortgage, buying, selling and appraising your home.

What does the team look like?

You work hybrid based in Leiden. This includes branches such as IJsselstein, De Lier, Beverwijk, Apeldoorn and Leusden. You will be working in a team of about twenty-five colleagues. Together with five other fellow HRBPs, you are responsible for supporting and advising the business. The HR team is dynamic, enterprising and professional. There is an informal working atmosphere with driven and committed colleagues. A challenging working environment where you have plenty of room for your own initiatives, personal development and where suggestions for improvement are appreciated. Responsibility, challenge and pleasure in work are paramount.

What we ask of you.

As an HR business partner you are a real team player and a connector who is able to realize change from relationship and personal persuasion. You are able to set priorities and can switch quickly in a dynamic environment. In addition:

  • At least a completed college degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration;
  • At least three years of work experience in a similar position;
  • Experience in advising on and supervising culture, and organizational change issues;
  • Insight into developments within the HR field and knowledge of labor law and occupational health and safety legislation;
  • Living in the Randstad;
  • Substantively a strong and critical interlocutor;
  • Do you have good social skills and can work in a team as well as independently;
  • A good command of the Dutch language both verbally and in writing.
