What does the job entail?

As a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) specialist, you will be responsible for refining various customer journeys on our websites and digital platforms. Your goal is to create an optimal user experience that encourages visitors to take desired actions, such as purchasing products or services, filling out forms, or subscribing to newsletters. Using A/B testing, you compare different versions of web pages, forms and call-to-action elements to determine which variant performs best in promoting conversions. You will also conduct user research, including surveys and interviews, to understand the drivers and pain points of our target audience. These insights form the basis for your optimization strategies, which you use to improve conversion rates and the overall user experience.

Your challenges as a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) specialist are:

  • Analyzing visitor and customer behavior on the websites to understand how visitors interact with content and functionality;
  • Identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities on the website, including improving loading speed, navigation and overall user experience;
  • Collaborate with content teams to improve the relevance and effectiveness of content to match the needs and expectations of the target audience;
  • Creating and optimizing conversion points on the website, such as forms, buttons and buying processes;
  • Use web analytics tools such as Google Analytics to analyze quantitative data and gain insights that can be used for optimization;
  • Regularly report performance of conversion optimization efforts to stakeholders and continuously monitor KPIs;
  • Collaborate with web developers, designers and other teams to implement changes and optimizations.

  • A fixed-term employment contract with the prospect of permanent employment and a gross full-time salary between €4,407 and €5,020, depending on experience;
  • A personal choice budget (PKB), made up of various benefits including 8% vacation allowance. You can use the budget for various purposes;

  • A work week of 32 to 40 hours;
  • Flexibility through hybrid working;
  • 25 vacation days (based on full-time employment), 5 of which are included in your personal choice budget (PKB);
  • Two additional days off per year that you may take on a day that is special to you;
  • A pension plan;
  • A travel allowance: Do you travel by car? Then you get €0.23 per km. Do you come walking or by bike? Then you get € 0,25 per km. Do you travel by public transport? Then your public transport costs (based on 2nd class travel) will be fully reimbursed;
  • A home office allowance (€2.15 per day) and a home office budget;
  • Staff discount on your insurance, mortgage, buying, selling and appraising your home.

What does the team look like?

You will work hybrid with IJsselstein as your location. You are part of the Online team, which is part of the Marcom & Online department. Together with your immediate colleagues, you are responsible for the performance of all websites and brands within Alpina Group. What we ask of you.

You have a clear vision and know how to realize the resulting plans together with colleagues and external partners. You are analytical, can plan well and do not lose sight of the commercial goals and the customer journey. In addition:

  • Minimum hbo working and thinking level;
  • At least two years of relevant work experience in conversion optimization;
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript;
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics;
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles to optimize web page usability and design;
  • A positive track record on Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO);
  • Skill in setting up and analyzing A/B tests;
  • Skill to apply qualitative research methods such as user interviews, surveys and heatmap analysis to understand user behavior and needs;
  • Familiarity with specific tools for A/B testing and multivariate testing. Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize, and Hotjar;
  • Understanding effective writing techniques to create persuasive and clear call-to-action texts;
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple optimization initiatives;
  • Do you have good social skills and can work in a team as well as independently;
  • A good command of the Dutch language both verbally and in writing.
