What does the job entail?

As a service desk employee, you are the first point of contact for colleagues regarding incoming calls or e-mails. These can be low-threshold questions that you can solve immediately yourself or more complicated matters for which you can call in a second-line colleague. You offer a listening ear and ask questions in order to identify the customer's needs and provide the right assistance. Besides contact via phone and email, you also play a role in communicating to the organization about malfunctions, work and improvements in systems and/or processes. You are focused on providing the most efficient service with the aim of achieving optimal customer results.

Your challenges as a service desk employee are:

  • Optimizing user functionality;
  • Assisting with breakdowns, requests and inquiries;
  • Resolving disruptions and escalations;
  • Directing timely handling of failures and requests within ICT and vendors for issues not resolved by the service desk;
  • Act proactively (prevent failures and communicate about them).

  • A fixed-term employment contract with the prospect of permanent employment and a gross full-time salary between €2,454 and €3,682, depending on experience;
  • A personal choice budget (PKB), made up of various benefits including 8% vacation allowance. You can use the budget for various purposes;
  • Access to the Alpina Academy; our learning platform for training, courses and education including access to Lindenhaeghe (for obtaining Wft diplomas) and SkillsTown;
  • A work week of 32 to 40 hours;
  • Flexibility through hybrid working;
  • 25 vacation days (based on full-time employment), 5 of which are included in your personal choice budget (PKB);
  • Two additional days off per year that you may take on a day that is special to you;
  • A pension plan;
  • A travel allowance: Do you travel by car? Then you get €0.23 per km. Do you come walking or by bike? Then you get € 0,25 per km. Do you travel by public transport? Then your public transport costs (based on 2nd class travel) will be fully reimbursed;
  • A home office allowance (€2.15 per day) and a home office budget;
  • Staff discount on your insurance, mortgage, buying, selling and appraising your home.

What does the team look like?

You will work hybrid with your base in Middelharnis. As an employee service desk, you will operate in a dynamic of about twelve colleagues spread across the offices in Leusden, Middelharnis and The Hague. A learning environment that is constantly changing and where you can make a difference. There is an informal working atmosphere with driven and committed colleagues. What we ask of you.

You work from customer experience. You have a feeling for the needs of users and respond adequately. In your communication you are empathetic and at the same time clear. In addition:

  • At least a completed secondary vocational education (level 4) in the direction of ICT/computer science;
  • At least two years of relevant work experience in a similar position;
  • Knowledge and experience with ITIL;
  • A good command of the Dutch language both verbally and in writing;
  • A great sense of responsibility;
  • Do you see it as a sport to satisfy and keep your (internal) customers happy;
  • Excellent organizational skills where you set the right priorities and continuously monitor progress;
  • Do you have good social skills and can work in a team as well as independently.

You possess the following characteristics and competencies:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Service-oriented and customer-friendly;
